As a key member of the Biogen Intercontinental Region (BIR) Medical Neuropsychiatry Team, the Medical Director is responsible for co-developing and executing the BIR medical strategy for neuropsychiatry, cross-functionally aligned with other functions along with closely working with the Global Medical team. This role is helping to drive generation, interpretation and communication of relevant data to advance/drive/inform the clinical practice to support market access at the global level.

**What You’ll Do**
- Represent BIR Medical team at cross-functional meetings as needed.
- Ensure that the medical narrative is developed for regional needs.
- Build advocacy, help organize and participate in high quality Key Medical Expert (KME) / Key Opinion Leader (KOL) engagements to ensure access to high quality external expertise and insights.
- Provide medical expertise to and lead cross-functional teams and projects, as needed.
- Provide guidance/training to affiliates / cross-functional partners.
- As a content expert, review abstracts, publications, medical information letters, internal/external educational materials, and other medical documents as needed.
- Review and critically appraise research proposals.
- Review and support authoring of regulatory interaction documentation, as needed.

You love all aspects of medical evidence generation and are passionate about interpreting and communicating the data to inform the clinical practice. You model cross-functional collaboration and alignment, as well as the Biogen Elements to foster a culture of high performance, agility and accountability. Proven experience in Neuropsychiatry medical affairs.

**Qualifications**:
**Required Skills**:

- MD, PhD, PharmD or other advanced degree in life sciences.
- Minimum 5 years experience within a medical affairs role (either field or office-based), in the pharmaceutical industry
- Relevant medical affairs experience in BIR:

- Proven experience in Neuropsychiatry
- Neuropsychiatry’s launch experience in Biogen Intercontinental Region is a plus
- Ability to understand and effectively communicate scientific and medical information to both internal and external customers.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills are imperative.
- Ability to be independent, multi-tasked, results-oriented within a dynamic, fast-paced, highly diverse international matrix environment

**Preferred Skills**
- Experience in Neuropsychiatry therapeutic area is strongly desired
- Experience in pre-launch/launch is preferred
