**Laboratory Technician**:
**Your mission**:
The technician will be responsible for supporting mouse neuroscience research in collaboration with senior and junior scientists in the Laboratory of Sensory Processing at the Brain Mind Institute, Faculty of Life Sciences at the EPFL on the Ecublens Campus.
**Main duties and responsibilities include**:
General lab organization:
- COSEC
- Inventory of chemicals and viruses
- Training and informing lab members on lab security
- Participating in the general organization and operation of the laboratory
Animal experimentation:
- Management of transgenic mouse colonies (PyRat)
- Management of local mouse housing
- Management of surgery room
- Management of mouse training room
- Managing mouse transfers: importation and exportation
- Liaison with EPFL vets
- Ordering and preparing solutions
Optional:
- Mouse behavioral training
- Mouse implantation surgery
- Brain anatomy (clearing, slicing, staining, mounting)
