dsm-firmenich are looking for a highly driven and motivated Scientist for our Analytical Sciences department.

In this role you will join the Analytical Sciences department in Kaiseraugst, part of Science & Research division, and will contribute to our innovation projects success.

**Your key responsibilities**:

- Scout and implement disruptive analytical technologies for assessing specific product properties, focusing on efficiency and throughput
- Plan, prioritize and execute experiments to address prominent technical questions and build scientific knowledge
- Contribute to the technical and scientific development of the team
- Collaborate on multidisciplinary and cross-site innovation projects and build strategic partnerships with internal and external stakeholders
- Communicate scientific results and project progress to various audiences

**You bring**:

- PhD or post-doctoral Degree in analytical chemistry, with sound experience in organic chemistry or biochemistry, or MS Degree in analytical chemistry or related domains with 5-10 years of experience in industry
- Strong practical and theoretical background on (quantitative) LC -(HR)MS for targeted and untargeted analysis is a must, with track record on advanced data processing, statistical data analysis and validation of analytical methods
- Interest and knowledge in automation of workflows in an analytical laboratory and coding (Python, R, etc)
- Willingness to work at the bench
- Knowledge in food and formulation technologies is an advantage
- Creativity and open-mindedness to solve complex analytical problems following a rigorous scientific approach
- Excellent team spirit, communication, inter-domain knowledge, organization skills and networking capacity.
- Fluent in the English language (both verbal and written). German language would be an added value.
