UAV Remote Pilot

**Contract**: permanent, 80-100% possible

**Workplace**: Zurich

Tasks

As Drone Pilot in 3D production you will help the team commission, maintain, and operate UAV flight operations with our camera systems. Also, you will be involved in implementing the 3D software as well as improving the workflow.

**Specifically, your tasks are**:

- Define, plan, organize and execute flight programs and flight tests.
- Pilot UAVs for data acquisition.
- Maintenance of drone platforms and sensors for optimal functionality.
- Oversee and actively participate in ground and flight operations efforts including mission planning, execution and briefing, debriefing, aircrew resource management and safety.
- Continuously improve understanding of current and future UAV flight technology, hardware and other automated equipment used in daily operation both today and for future planning.
- Be involved in developing plans and policies, monitoring operations, and advising on all matters pertaining to flight test
- Processing the data from drone captures into our 3D models.

Additionally, you will be responsible for observing all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company. You will be expected to work in a manner that guarantees safety and in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.

**Requirements**:

- Broad experiences with flying (min 50 hours of registered flights) and maintaining multi-rotor drones (DJI M300, DJI Matrice 600), VTOL platforms (Wingtra System), and drone flight planning (UgCs, Mission Planner, Litchi, DJI Go, etc.)
- SORA knowledge
- UAV Remote pilot Licence (min. A1/A3 EASA certificate, Drones Pilot Licence SFCD (Swiss Federation of Civil Drones), Part 107 FAA etc and/or a Private Pilot license), comfortable with being outdoors a lot (there’s not much drone-flying indoors ) and based in Switzerland
- High reliability, great organizational skills and team-player mentality
- Fluency in written and spoken English (company language) and in spoken German; Swiss German would be an advantage
- Driver’s Licence (category B)
- Familiarity with 3D processing software packages (Reality Capture, Context Capture, 3DS Max, MeshLab, etc) would be a plus
- Basic understanding of photogrammetry and topography concepts
