The Paul Scherrer Institute PSI is the largest research institute for natural and engineering sciences within Switzerland. LEAPS - League of European Accelerator-based Photon Sources - is a strategic consortium launched by the directors of synchrotron light sources and free electron laser (FEL) facilities in Europe, which encourages collaboration and joint developments to better serve the scientific community and society.
PSI with its Photon Science Division (PSD) is member of the consortium LEAPS, and the special program group is supporting the project coordination. For a demanding interface function we are looking for a
**Program / Communication Manager***:
**Your tasks**:
- You will lead on project coordination, monitoring and reporting of accepted European projects as well as participate in planning and submission of new projects
- You will support the PSD Management and the LEAPS chair/vice-chair in scheduling internal / external meetings
- You will set up and adapt relevant communication tools in alignment with the communication department of PSI and with the LEAPS partners
- You will interact with our European partners supporting the administrative and logistic developments of LEAPS
**Your profile**:
- Strong knowledge in project coordination / management and cross-functional project responsibility
- University degree (MSc / PhD) in natural sciences or engineering
- Solution
- and service-oriented, as well as a structured working manner, and the ability to prioritize, plan and manage multiple tasks with a sense of urgency
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, knowledge of the local language German is an advantage
- Experience with communication tools is an important requirement
