Tasks

You take the overall responsibility in the Product Management and R&D Department. For this purpose, you will develop our Research and Development (R&D) and Product Management on an ongoing basis. The coordination of international and national purchasing in close cooperation with the manufacturers and suppliers is just as much a part of your tasks as the management of development projects from conception to market maturity. Both cost and process optimization as well as ensuring and guarantee optimal delivery readiness are a matter of course for you. You help to develop the brand Thömus technically to an all-new level and continuously improve our quality level. For this you closely cooperate with our Cross-country World Cup team and the associated network around it. As division manager you are also responsible for the administrative management tasks of the employees in your department.

**Requirements**:
In order to be successful in this role, a very independent and professional work ethic is essential. You are well versed in R&D topics, product management, quality assurance and supply chain management. You have a higher technical education with further education in business administration and / or supply chain management. Ideally you have already several years of working experience in the bicycle industry in this or a similar position. You bring extensive knowledge of suppliers and components for bike parts and you are able to create platform technologies. You are proficient with the common 3D design software like Solid Works or similar as well as excellent skills in Microsoft Excel and other Office tools. Distinct entrepreneurial thinking and acting, structured approach and a natural hands-on mentality complete your profile.

You share our love for bicycles and ideally you are a passionate biker yourself. As department manager you are responsible for a team of engineers and industrial designers. Tasks in the area of personnel management in this technical environment will not get you out of your calm. You bring the ability to motivate, encourage and inspire the people working with you. You have a high demand for quality, are communicative, self-reliant and resilient. Very good oral and written skills in German and English are mandatory.
