You will be working as a Product Line Manager for Electrification Business Area in Installation Products Division based in Dubai, UAE. In this role you will be supporting in various product life cycle activities (market analysis, conceptualization, product development, launch, maintenance, pricing and profitability) to ensure a sustainable growth within the expansion plan of some product lines. You will also be accountable for the long-term profitable growth of offering. Manage the marketing of the ABB offering to targeted market segments and managing offering through all of its life cycle phases, according to market needs and Division/Product Group/Business line strategy and targets. Support business results by overseeing all steps of the offering life cycle including development, launch, go-to-market, maintenance, pricing, and profitability.

**Your responsibilities**:

- Ensuring that ABB has a full understanding of market requirements and can translate these into effective products and service offerings. Preparing various analyses by market, product, and competitors. Conducting valuations of market size and trends, conducting competitor analyses including identification of product/system/service gaps and evaluating ABB position.
- Supporting the product lifecycle activities from introduction to product obsoleting. Maintaining databases, product datasheets, cross references. Reviewing periodically the results of the product lines and proposing solutions for optimizing gross margin and service to the customer.
- Proposing new product development or product enhancements to offer suitable and unique solutions to customer needs and in so doing collecting and analyzing standards, market requirements, customer needs and values as an input for producing a product roadmap from identified opportunities, supporting the Global Product Manager in creating the business case for product development projects.
- Facilitating information transfer between customers, product management and R&D teams in the development of correct solution. Monitoring major warranty cases and quality cost drivers for assigned products and ensuring effective resolution.
- Managing technical specifications of assigned products and supporting in developing compelling business case for product development, including cost streamlining and pricing setup.
- Creating and delivering product training to internal teams and external customers.
- Collaborating to define marketing plans to promote sales activities. Assisting in the creation and distribution of materials and key message information. Contributing to the preparation and maintenance of marketing tools to support the business and the sales organizations, for the existing products and in the launch and introduction of new products.
- Preparing and following up detailed planning for assignments in the product responsibilities, coordinating actions between different functions, such as product management, engineering, operations, supply chain, quality and marketing to ensure projects are delivered within the time frame established.

**Your background**:

- Bachelor’s / master’s degree in engineering.
- Good knowledge of UL, BS, IEC and Indian Standards related to the product of reference (metal boxes and accessories)
- Over 5 - 7 years’ experience in the role in a B2B multi-discipline environment
- Experience with electrical installation solutions or similar industrial products would be an asset.
- Ability to prioritize activities and respect deadlines
- Willingness to travel (30% of time, mainly in the Middle East and Egyptian markets)
- Project management skills
- Fluency in English both written and verbal
