**The Business**:
Global Tax is looking for a Senior Manager for International Taxes in its EAME (Europe, Africa, Middle East, Eurasia (Russia, CIS and Central Asia) department. The position will be in Geneva or Luxembourg.

This is a senior role, reporting to the EAME Region Tax Director in Geneva.

**The Position**:
Other qualities such as reliability, being fully accountable for project outcomes, and being of good ethical standing are a given.

**Job Purpose**:
Provides expert guidance for tax reporting pertaining to the company's global operations. Lead project teams providing expert tax advice to business units for complex projects and/or initiatives. Significant contributor to complex tax planning strategies, provides guidance to tax teams and review compliance activities. Ensure financial reporting integrity including compliance with tax and trade laws, operating a strong control environment and the achievement of other financial and non-financial objectives from the enterprise perspective.

Based on key risk elements in the areas of Financial Reporting, Consulting and Operational Management, the overall business and financial reporting risk associated with this position’s job responsibilities scored in the “Moderate-Elevated” risk range (Lowest; Lower; Low; Moderate; Elevated; High; Higher; Highest) relative to other business resource manager positions in the company. Leveraging the COSO (Committee of Sponsoring Organization) framework for evaluating risk, the following factors were considered:

**Job Duties**:
Reporting directly to this position could be managers/supervisors/staff responsible for most or all of the following: International Tax and Business Unit Support, Country/Regional Managers, Tax Compliance Oversight, Competent Authority and Tax Controversy.

**Tax Planning and Advisor **- Provides specific guidance on tax issues involved in internal structural and transactional planning and early stage go-to market business initiatives. Identifies tax-beneficial opportunities and implements work plans to achieve these benefits. Works with outside legal counsel and consultants to create, implement and manage complex tax strategies. Provides thoughtful, practical and risk appropriate tax advice and education to managers in Corporate Accounting, Corporate Treasury, Public Affairs, Legal Services Division, business units and subsidiaries.

**Legislative Activity **- Monitors, analyzes and determines financial impact of critical proposed tax laws and regulations. Ability to react to legislation changes and identify key impacts to enterprise is necessary.

**Mergers and Acquisitions **- Consults as tax advisor to Strategic Investments on stock or asset acquisitions or proposed divestitures. Provides strategic tax advice regarding organizational and operational structures including implementation, integration, and post-acquisition/divestiture consulting.
