We help our customers make the most of geospatial data and stay one step ahead in their most critical missions. Our team is present in Switzerland, France and Germany. For our growing offices in Olten and Zurich, we are recruiting a **Technical Consultant (M/F/d)** to meet our development, integration, support and training needs on the Open Source geospatial stack. Your day as a GIS Technical Consultant - You help our customers use OSS-based GIS systems successfully. - You collect, analyse and write up our customers’ needs. - You integrate and configure the software to best meet these needs. - You test the functionalities and present them to our customers. - You support and train the users. - You are not afraid to question our customers’ requests in order to offer them the best solutions. - You promote OSS and Camptocamp’s competencies in technical conferences. Every day you will have the opportunity to learn something new, contribute to meaningful projects and have a good time with your colleagues. **Profile**: Your essential skills to succeed in this role - You have a genuine interest in OSS and its philosophy. - You have experience with GIS. - You are able to write and adapt scripts in Python or similar language. - You feel comfortable working with SQL and databases. - You enjoy working in a multicultural team. You are a team player, have empathy and care about the team. - You have good command of German and English. - You have a valid work permit for Switzerland. The icing on the cake If you also recognize yourself in the following, it will be a big plus: - You have studied Geomatics or IT, and have at least 2 years professional experience in Geomatics and/or IT. - You have experience with OSS in the geospatial domain, such as GeoServer, Mapserver, QGIS, PostGIS, etc. - You are active in Open Source and/or Open Data communities. - You are accustomed to working on Linux or strongly interested to learn it. - You are familiar with Cloud / Kubernetes technology. - You speak French.
