- Work with stakeholders to gather requirements and functional specifications. Define technological solutions to meet the needs of the customers and the company, translating those into tactical roadmaps and mid-term strategic roadmaps.
- Decompose systems in components and subsystems, define their interaction patterns, and specify the interfaces between them.
- Analyse trade-offs between different alternative solutions, evaluate the business impact of technical choices, and create transparency about technical debts.
- Coordinate and collaborate within our team and with other business units to ensure features delivered meet expectations from multiple dimensions (code quality, extensibility, modularity, scalability, security, operational concerns, end user requirements).
- Coordinate and collaborate with the Enterprise Architect and other relevant members of the IT department to ensure that the overall solution is aligned with the IT governance, landscape, and strategy.
- Provide technical guidance & mentoring to a highly capable development team.
- Capable of taking hands-on concept/prototype development and reviews, being able to resolve technical problems as they arise.
- Manage cloud subscriptions and software suppliers to ensure we are building solid features.
- Be up to date with the latest technology trends. Know the relevance of different technologies and when a technology can solve a real problem versus something that is shiny and new.
- Regularly update stakeholders on project status, risks, quality reviews and costs.

**Your experiences**:

- University degree in information technology, software engineering, computer science, or related field.
- In-depth understanding of software development and delivery best practices
- Proven experience in projects dealing with microservices architectures, event driven systems, and cloud computing services (PaaS, IaaS and SaaS)
- Efficient communication skills, being able to explain complex problems to a wider audience in layman’s terms
- Experience in technology risk mitigation and good stakeholder management skills in a matrix organization preferred
- Strong organizational and leadership skills
