Overview:
**Responsibilities**:

- Manage daily air freight operations, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company policies.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of air freight coordinators, providing guidance and training as needed.
- Monitor and oversee air freight shipments, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
- Communicate effectively with carriers, customs brokers, and clients to ensure smooth handling of shipments.
- Streamline operational processes to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Handle escalations, resolve operational issues, and manage exceptions in the shipping process.
- Ensure compliance with customs regulations and international shipping standards.
- Collaborate with other departments such as customer service, sales, and warehousing to ensure seamless operations.
- Prepare and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to track team performance and operational efficiency.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, clients, and partners to ensure top-quality service.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve air freight services and align with business objectives.

Qualifications:

- Proven experience in air freight logistics, with leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of air freight operations, international trade, and customs procedures.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a focus on motivating and developing team members.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
- Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., MS Office, CargoWise).
- Knowledge of safety and compliance regulations related to air freight.
- A bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.
- Fluency in English and German, both written and spoken; additional languages are a plus.
