**YOUR ROLE**
**_Project Title: ‘ _**Connected mechanistic modeling to predict drug substance quality’**
- Business Context: _
Pharma4.0 aims at leveraging the digitalization efforts to develop and manufacture medicine at more efficient pace. Insilico modeling of bioprocesses are envisioned as one of the enabler in this digital transformation. The use of insilico modeling capability for drug substance process development can aid in reduction of large number of experiments performed during the drug development lifecycle. This use case will be focused on developing predictive models for downstream drug substance development using mechanistic models.
- Impact: _
The outcome of the internship will be establishing the experiments required to establish mechanistic models for the downstream separation operation ( Filtration, viral inactivation, chromatography steps) for monoclonal antibody production.
- Feasibility: _
gPROMS-Formulated products is evaluated as a software for establishing mechanistic models.
Depending on the extent of data available, there might be need to perform some dedicated experiments in lab.
