**Job Description Summary**: Join our team in Switzerland The Manager - Digital Operations (Regional Site Operations Leader) will innovate what and how we deliver technology and services to GE Gas Power sites and customers within the EU Central region. This role will manage site and customer operations and execute on prioritized initiatives for Gas Power Digital Technology infrastructure and digital workplace services. You will drive improvement efforts on how customers engage and interact with technical support teams and serve as a liaison with various business partners to make sure the needs and voice of the customer is being heard.
**Essential responsibilities**
- The Regional Leader is responsible for managing the customer relationship, setting clear expectations, championing IT strategy, and promoting the value of IT towards the business.
- For each customer area, the Regional Leader should ensure that IT prioritizes requests, commits to deliveries, and delivers according to commitments.
- Act as the single point of contact for IT customers across the assigned region, including escalations.
- Lead a team of employees and manage service contracts focused on customer and local infrastructure support
- Problem solver with the ability to guide customers with product training, and knowledge sharing on infrastructure and customer technology tools
- Partner with IT Technology leaders to understand their product strategies and roadmaps, anticipate incoming changes and provide them feedback from the field on products utilization and improvement opportunities
- Ability to solve or engage others to help find a solution for day-to-day IT issues
- Inspire support team members to get to the best answer to help customers get their jobs completed
- Drive Global initiatives with team to improve User experience/ IT Simplification for end users.
- Identify, plan, and implement where you see opportunities for local improvement of the IT and customer service processes.
- Resource planning, capacity planning for IT site support team members where applicable
- Monitor, analyze, and report operational metrics for IT operations in your DT supported sites
**Basic Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience
- Experience in End User Technology support: Computers, Telephony, Mobility, AV Systems, Printers
- Demonstrated experience in IT infrastructure projects and operations: Network, Storage, Backups, and Hosting platforms
- Basic skills and understanding of Cyber Security
**Eligibility Requirements: (Country Specific)**
- Must be willing to travel
- Must be willing to work out of the Baden or Birr, Switzerland site
- Fluency in English and German languages
**Desired Characteristics**:
- Green Belt Certification / Demonstrated experience with Lean initiatives
- DTLP graduate
- ITIL management process knowledge, experience and / or certification
- Project Management (PMP) certification
- Awareness and monitoring of Digital Workplace innovative products and solutions
**Business Acumen**:
- Business acumen & successful track record in aligning with business partners
- Experience as a change agent with demonstrated ability to drive results
- Experience working in a global organization
- Demonstrated customer focus - manages technical issues in complex, difficult, or stressful situations; evaluates decisions through the eyes of the customer; builds strong customer relationships and creates processes with customer viewpoint
**Leadership**:
- Ability to influence others and lead small teams
- Lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact
- Excellent interpersonal, written / verbal communication, and leadership skills with the ability to quickly build credibility, influence and make recommendations to all levels
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment
- Ability to work with limited direction
