Head of Operations Strategy Execution

The Head of Operations Strategy Execution is responsible for translating business operations objectives into sourcing strategies and operational plans, ensuring cross-functional alignment and driving Operational Excellence.
In this context, he/she engages with business and functional respresentatives to identify the required capabilities and opportunities for sourcing them within or outside the organization, through internal service teams or with external vendors when needed. This effort will be combined with other initiatives aiming to drive Operational Excellence in business processes.
The Head of Operations Strategy Execution collaborates with representatives across the reinsurance value chain, from business (P&C, L&H), to corporate functions (e.g., Finance, IT, Operations) in order to ensure end-to-end view of business operations and to maximise cross-functional synergies in order to deliver effective and efficient services.
This role requires a strong blend of strategic thinking, operational expertise, and leadership to drive effectiveness and efficiency in operations, and to deliver measurable business outcomes.
- In collaboration with business or functional representatives, develop the sourcing strategy for the corresponding domains
- Identify sourcing partners, through internal capabilities or external vendors
- Identify cross functional synergies and opportunities for scaling up internal or external capabilities
- Develop the operational execution roadmap and transition plans
- Identify operational risks and propose mitigation plans and actions
- Develop business cases and the benefit tracking framework
- Support the selection process of external vendors for the outsourcing of relevant activities
- Collaborate with the Transformation team for the review and re-engineering of selected business processes to drive Operational Excellence
- Establish and monitor performance metrics ensuring continuous improvement in execution and BAU
- Monitor the execution of the program and track the benefits in line with the business case
- Good re-insurance knowledge, ideally in P&C, L&H and Finance
- Experience in operations execution, sourcing strategies and outsourcing
- 10-15 years of experience in program management
- Leadership and ability to generate buy-in with senior stakeholders
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Background in consulting is a plus
- High education degree (e.g., Bachelor/Master) in Business Administration, Engineering, etc.
