As
**Research Assistant Perception Physiology**, you will provide technical expertise on in vitro pharmacology to support R&D projects aiming at identifying new approaches related to chemosensory and mechanosensory perception.

**A Day in the Life of a Research Assistant Perception Physiology**
- Manage activities and/or small project in perception physiology based on in vitro pharmacology expertise
- Build further technical knowledge, contribute to complex project activities with initiative and help provide effective and sustainable solutions
- Present results/methods in written and oral form to interested parties
- Lead group technical developments with initiative and help provide effective and sustainable solutions (identify technical gaps and opportunities in area of expertise, pro-actively support CAPEX preparations)
- Build and document knowledge about latest technical methods, trends, insights and developments in area of expertise
- Propose new ideas/activities/methods to group scientists by integrating technical knowledge with other group's techniques
- Develop technical competencies in the domain of activity through experience, mentoring and training
- Actively contribute in knowledge transfer and dissemination within group (with other technicians and scientists) and across R&D (NRC institutes, PTCs and GMBs R&D if relevant)

**What will make you successful**
- CFC, Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biology / Pharmacology with knowledge of sensory physiology
- 4-5 years of industrial experience including:

- Practical hands-on lab experiences demonstrating full autonomy
- Cell Culture of recombinant and primary cells
- Expression Cloning: Transient and stable cell line generation
- In vitro pharmacology assays (Fluorescence and Luminescence) using FLIPR and FlexStation
- High Throughput Screening
- Knowledge on GPCRs and Ion Channels receptors
- Track record in delivering results by working in cross-functional teams across the R&D organization
- Experience in sensory biology (taste, olfaction, trigeminal systems), electrophysiology and/or cellular agriculture is a plus
- Experience in technical management of a dedicated analytical laboratory is a plus
- Good knowledge of quality, safety and hygiene requirements
- English mandatory. French is a plus
