**About the role**
Basel, Switzerland (Hybrid) Remote, #LI-Hybrid
We are seeking an Expert Engineering to design, plan, perform, interpret and report results of scientific experiments for the preparation and timely delivery of drug substances (DS), drug products (DP), processes and procedures within a multifunctional project team coordinated by a Project Leader.
This role will work directly with the Specialty and Secondary Packaging team and reports to the Associate Director Specialty and Secondary Packaging.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Leading activities for development of sustainable packaging materials for oral solid forms.
- Maintaining knowledge in the areas of sustainable materials and act as PoC for suppliers.
- Conducting feasibility assessments on new technology/ packaging concepts.
- Developing early phase packaging prototypes.
- Supporting development activities including but not limited to technology landscaping and change control.
- Establishing standard operating & work procedures, document templates and general guidance for packaging technology development.
- Disseminating knowledge and awareness of sustainable packaging technology within the wider.

**Role Requirements**
**Essential Requirements**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Materials Science or related disciplines.
- Fluency in English (both written and oral).
- Previous knowledge of pharmaceuticals environment in the field of packaging development and environmental sustainability.
