**Director, Statistical Science**:
**Role & Function**
The Statistical Science Director provides statistical input and leadership to the scientific, clinical and regulatory strategies of projects throughout R&D and life-cycle management.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Accountable for all statistical aspects within assigned products providing statistical, scientific and strategic expertise throughout all phases of the drug development process.- Leads the statistical thinking and contributions to the creation and delivery of the Clinical Development Plan, to the TPP and to the Regulatory and Commercial Strategies.- Accountable for the overall quality and the timely delivery of the statistical analyses for the assigned products.- Provides leadership in designing optimal and innovative studies, defining decision-making criterion and quantifying risks, to achieve project objectives and regulatory requirements.- Provides leadership and project coordination to all statisticians working in the project, including in-house consultants and statisticians at CROs**Qualifications**
- Master of Science (MSc) or PhD in mathematics, statistics or equivalent- At least 8 years of experience as a statistician in the pharmaceutical industry, CRO or similar.- Preferred: Experience of working with major regulatory submissions.**Personal attributes**
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
- Strong strategic thinking and influencing skills
- Ability to communicate statistical information to non-statisticians
- Strong ability to collaborate and contribute in global cross-functional teams

**Location**
The position will be based in Basel, Switzerland.
