Serpentine Ventures (SERV) is the investment arm of the Swiss Startup Group (SSUG). SERV was founded by experienced entrepreneurs as well as financial services professionals and works with exceptional entrepreneurial talent to build and invest in technology driven ventures. SERV expands its capabilities by selectively recruiting and adding distinctive talent and hence, is looking for an Investment Director for the Growth Fund I to strengthen its investment management team.

Tasks

As Investment Director of the Growth Fund I, you are key part of the lifecycle funds Investment Team at SERV and directly report to the Chief Investment Officer:

- You actively screen and source investment opportunities and proceed with an initial assessment,
- Conduct the investment process together with a deal team and take an active role in the execution of the investment process,
- Working in partnership with stakeholders to actively support, advise and challenge portfolio companies and monitor performance against initial expectations and set milestones.
- Build up and maintain a strong network in the relevant Swiss and international ecosystem, to investors as well as in the Venture Capital industry
- Leverage your existing network in the startup ecosystem and to investors
- Collaborate with other SSUG portfolio companies to foster value creation across the group
- Mentoring of analysts and associates

**Requirements**:

- Team player with strong communication skills
- 7+ years of experience in the venture capital or private equity sector and good understanding of the metrics and drivers in the field
- Strongly motivated by the purpose of delivering value creation for vital startups in the growth phase for the benefit of customers and investors
- You have executed multiple investments in startup companies as deal lead and have been responsible of the investment process before
- Able to work efficiently on your own, an independent thinker and with a clear focus on maximising the team's success
- Top academic credentials with an university degree in business management, as an engineer or in science
- Fluency in German and English, French is advantageous
- You are a driven personality and go the extra mile by default based on a strong work ethic and professional demeanour
- Ideally, you bring along a strong network in the VC and startup ecosystem
- Ability to work in Switzerland
