The Centre for the New Economy and Society partners with leaders in business, government and civil society to understand current challenges and future scenarios, shape new ideas and build collaborations that create economic opportunities for all.
The Centre works in three areas:

The Centre works with more than 400 business partners, over 50 governments, 30 international organizations and more than 100 academic, civil society and philanthropic organizations to build a future where economies and societies work for everyone.
The Lead, Insights - Work, Wages and Job Creation, will contribute to the design, development and delivery of the Centre’s work on Investing in talent and human capital. The role combines strong economic, business, social science and/or public policy research expertise, quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, outstanding writing skills, and the ability to design insights to inspire and inform action, engaging senior public
- and private-sector stakeholders, contributing to the Centre’s efforts to shape and drive a forward-looking future of work agenda.
Reporting lines and interactions
The role will report to the Head of the corresponding thematic Mission on Work, Wages and Job Creation and will work closely with colleagues across the Centre and the Forum to deliver outcomes efficiently.
Main responsibilities- Lead the design and delivery of key Forum insight products on labour market foresight and the future of work, supporting a coherent set of research outputs and engagement processes across the Centre.- Conduct and coordinate economic and labour market analysis, leveraging quantitative and qualitative data, and translate it into high-quality, actionable insights for public and private stakeholders, supporting the next phase of the Future of Jobs Initiative.- Support data development, narrative creation and business engagement through the Future of Jobs Initiative.- Develop and curate related stakeholder communities, initiating, expanding and maintaining strategic relationships with key constituencies, including leading labour economists, business, and governments, and managing stakeholder workshops and dialogues.- Work in close collaboration with the Centre’s other mission teams on topical alignment and with functional practices for alignment on methodologies and strategic goals.- Represent the Centre internally and externally as needed.- Contribute to Centre-wide planning, communications and culture.-
- Ability to develop and deliver a combination of high-quality insight products and collaboration initiatives in a complex, fast-paced environment, with multiple workstreams and contributors.- Capacity to connect labour market foresight, macroeconomic and structural trends to business strategy, policy design and systems-level impact.- Capacity to translate complex economic and labour market analysis and uncertainties into accessible, engageable and actionable insights for a wide range of stakeholders.- Ability to engage credibly with senior stakeholders from the public and private sectors and convene constructive multi-stakeholder dialogues, synthesizing diverse viewpoints into coherent narratives.
Requirements and preferred experience-
- Minimum 8 years of professional experience across labour market-focused roles in think tanks, international organizations, government, business, consulting or related sectors.- Demonstrated expertise in economic and labour market research, foresight and scenario design, and related thought leadership.- Demonstrated ability to manage, engage and work collectively with high-level stakeholders.- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; fluency in other languages is an asset.- Proficiency in digital tools for project management, insight curation, data visualization and data analysis.- Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative, inclusive approach to problem-solving and delivery.- Strong alignment with the Forum's mission and experience working in international and cross-sectoral teams.
