Retail Project Manager

At a Glance

Support the fastest-growing global sports brand with their own retail store expansion and operations strategy. In this position, you will be supporting the DTC Retail team for bringing their new store opening process to the next level. You will be in charge of project managing new store openings while ensuring a smooth opening process and seamless collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders. In addition, you will be steering special projects to drive operational excellence, enable smooth technical operations as well as implementing omni-channel opportunities in retail stores around the world.

Your Team

As you might expect from a young consumer brand, the DTC team at On is a fast-paced place to be. This team of interdisciplinary all-stars are used to rapid turnaround times and ambitious targets. From engineers to designers, to data scientists, to digital marketing specialists to retail store designers and store associates, this is the team responsible for creating winning tools, campaigns and experiences in On’s online and offline channels that run the length of the purchase funnel. The shared goal? Efficient growth at high speed - what else?

Your Mission
- Own project management for new retail store openings around the world for the retail team ensuring timely store openings and smooth collaboration with stakeholders involved (e.g. visual merchandising team, construction team)
- Drive retail initiatives to increase operational excellence in stores along with regional retail management and store leadership
- Collaborate with Retail Tech and DTC Operations team to design and implement technical process and system improvements (e.g. warranty and return process, omni-channel offering) to enable smooth retail operations and scaleable business foundations
- Work with E-Com and Retail Tech team on omni-channel offering to elevate a seamless customer experience online and offline
- Identify and lead implementation of other strategic retail programs that underpin On’s mission and drive to innovate (e.g. sustainability in Retail).

Your Story
- You have 3+ years of relevant work experience in a similar role, previous experience in retail and/ or the sports industry is a plus
- You are highly interested in digital products and enjoy IT system related tasks
- You have strong experience in project management from start to finish coordinating cross-functional teams
- You have an entrepreneurial growth mindset, eager to challenge the status quo with an appetite for relentless improvement
- You are curious to work globally across different cultures
- You have excellent communication and collaboration skills, but love to also get your hands dirty and do heavy lifting yourself
- Language: Professional English is a MUST, additional languages a plus
- Home base: Zurich, travelling to new store locations during preparation/ opening phase may be required
