Company Description

MET International AG (METI) was established in 2010 in order to consolidate and develop MET Group’s international natural gas sales and purchase portfolio, as well as to establish a trading arm for commodity lines.

METI is responsible for providing highly competitive supply structures to its gas,power, EUA and certificates sales affiliates, optimizing its power generation assets, managing the LNG portfolio, and trading around international positions.

**Job Description**:

- Develop and manage the flow trading activities of MET Group from the trading floor on EUAs, GoOs, and other international certificates and offsets with a strong focus on the carbon and power GoOs
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of the cross-commodity supply and demand models
- Develop carbon related trading strategies and conduct speculative trading in the EU ETS market across all venues (OTC, exchanges, spot auctions)
- Prospect and identify leads and potential customers by liaising with originators and sales representatives across MET Groups other divisions (MET Renewables, EU Sales)
- Ensure all transactions are within the risk framework and transactions are correctly recorded in the ETRM system
- Support the further development of certificates/environmental product offerings

**Qualifications**:

- Working knowledge of the Paris Agreement, Kyoto Protocol, Renewable Energy Directive
- Understanding the key drivers of the EU ETS system, including supply and demand drivers, key policies
- 2-5 years of experience in trading EU ETS allowances on multiple venues, with past exposure to both physical and financial products
- Understanding guarantees of origin, including their full life-cycle from production through trading to cancellation/delivery
- Build trusted partnerships with internal and external stakeholders
- Maintain a high attention to detail, outcomes orientated approach to work with a strong ambition to succeed - taking responsibility for the allocated business line and trading PnL.
- Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills with fluency in English
