20 More than 20 different and highly innovative modalities are currently investigated and developed in Biotherapeutic Engineering and Gene Therapy (BEGT) group. These diverse modalities are part of Novartis Reimagine Medicine strategy and include therapeutic proteins, multi-specific antibodies, CAR-T, RNA therapeutics, AAV and complex biologics constructs requiring bioconjugation.

Your responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

- Generating and analysing novel targeted RNA conjugates
- Collaborating with disease areas (e.g., Cardiovascular and metabolic disease) and other units in NBC, e.g. the RNAi conjugate characterization group
- Document the results in a detailed manner in laboratory journal and in internal databases
- Presenting research updates and participate constructively in working project teams and at laboratory group meetings

**Minimum requirements**

What you will bring to the role:
MSc or equivalent Masters level qualification in chemistry, biochemistry, pharmaceutical sciences or a related field with a minimum of 2 years of laboratory experience in chemistry, preferably in protein/RNA/bioconjugation chemistry
- Background in recombinant protein expression and purification as well as biophysical characterization of proteins gained during Masters study or during lab experience would be a plus
- High degree of independency regarding planning, execution and reporting of experiments
- Excellent oral and written communication in English and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivation, enthusiasm, and scientific curiosity.
