**Overview**:
Latte Stories is a brand new specialty coffee shop, with a brunch menu inspired by cross-cultural flavours. We opened our first store in Cham, Zug in June 2024 and our second store in Oerlikon, Zurich in August 2024. Our concept is dedicated to creating a home-away-from-home for our international community. We offer an inviting place for gentle adventurers and daily difference-makers to kick back and connect over good coffee, interesting food and great conversations.
We are seeking an entrepreneurial, motivated and hands-on individual to join us as Cafe / Restaurant Manager to oversee the day to day operations of our store in Oerlikon/Seebach, Zurich. If our concept resonates with you, please read on
Operational Excellence:
- Take full ownership of day-to-day operations, making sure that all quality and service standards are met to deliver excellent guest experience. Ensure adherence by the whole team to these standards.
- Ensure workflow is efficient.
- Manage inventory, ordering, and stock control.
Team Leadership:
- Recruit, train, and manage a team of baristas and support staff.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
Customer Experience:
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction through excellent service.
Financial Management:
- Monitor and manage store budgets, expenses, and revenue.
- Implement cost-effective measures to maximize profitability
Community Engagement:
- Build and maintain positive relationships with the local community.
- Support with local events and partnerships to enhance the shop's presence.
**Requirements**:
- Experience as a cafe or restaurant manager is required. **Applicants who do not meet this requirement will not be considered.**:
- Strong sense of ownership.
- Empathetic leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Open-minded to new ideas.
- Confident communication skills. Strong English and German (B2 minimum) skills are required. Swiss German is a plus. **Applicants who do not meet this requirement will not be considered.**:
- Passion for coffee and commitment to delivering an excellent customer experience. Knowledge in specialty coffee is an advantage.
- Ability to work independently and make sound business decisions.
- Availability/willingness to work on weekends.
- Driving license and car in Switzerland is an advantage.
