The
**_Sustainable Sourcing & Supply Chain Coordinator_** will be a part of the ArrowResources Group’s Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Department and will directly report to the Group’s ESG & Sustainability Manager.
- The ESG Department is responsible for meeting the requirements and expectations of the Group’s customers and financial stakeholders by developing, managing, and maintaining sustainability strategies and performance. This will be achieved by adhering to, and complying with, national and international standards and programs related to ESG aspects. The Group’s principal objectives are to reduce the carbon emissions of its activities and its supply chain partners, and to establish and integrate (applicable) UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into the Group’s operations and those of its supply chain partners.

**Assist and Support the Group to**:

- Enhance the collaboration and secure partnerships with the Group’s trading entities and its principal commodity suppliers to harmonise management systems and frameworks in the ESG space.
- Work to embrace applicable internationally recognized standards and obtain certifications that are pertinent to operations.
- Keep on top of evolving commodity sector trends in ESG and respond to current and future regulatory obligations regarding sustainability/ESG transparency and reporting.

**Roles & Responsibilities**:

- In this full-time role you will work closely with the ESG & Sustainability Manager to support the Metals & Minerals and Energy trading desks (where instructed) to undertake the following:
**Carbon & GHG Emissions**
- Collaborate with principal suppliers to obtain data and information required for GHG emissions management (Scope 3).
- Evaluate and report GHG emissions associated with principal suppliers (principally in the mining and metals sector).
- Undertake QA/QC assessments of received data to ensure representative true and accurate inputs for reporting.
- Analyze data to highlight trends in the Group’s activities and suppliers’ operations where potential reductions in GHG emissions could be achieved.
- Support the drafting of a GHG emissions and climate change management framework to include representative data collection and reporting in line with future TCFD/ISSB requirements.
- Contribute to the efficient reporting of GHG emissions and to support the Group in drafting its annual sustainability report in this regard.
- Provide quarterly briefs on progress on GHG emissions management and supplier collaboration.
- Sustainable Development Goals
- Collaborate and set-up partnerships with principal suppliers to establish applicable SDGs.
- Create a management system to log and track SDG commitments by principal suppliers.
- Communicate with principal suppliers to obtain SDG progress information.
- Draft a quarterly report on principal supplier SDG content and progress.
- Standards & Certification
- Draft a management framework document that integrates the elements of the Group’s “Responsible Sourcing and Supply Chain Standard” (London Metal Exchange’s Responsible Sourcing Standard; Nickel Institute’s Joint Due Diligence Standard; ISO 20400 guidance on Sustainable Procurement; Responsible Minerals Initiative’s standards on ESG and Global Responsible Sourcing; Responsible Business Alliance’s guidance on the responsible sourcing of goods and services).

**Other Tasks**:Support the ESG & Sustainability Manager on other tasks related to sustainable sourcing.

**Desired Personal Skills for success**:

- Strong diplomacy and communication skills, good influencing skills and interpersonal skills for the collaboration and partnering with principal suppliers, the supply chain and other external stakeholders.
- Must be capable of technically linking GHG emissions with industrial processes including land & maritime transport pathways.
- Must be autonomous and can think strategically and be able to streamline workflows.
- Demonstrated ability to draft quality technical reports for senior / executive management.
- Bilingual English/French, or professionally proficient spoken and written English/French is required. English is the predominate working language of the company.
- Must be capable of domestic and international travel when requested.

**Minimum Requirements**:

- University degree in sustainability, environmental science or engineering, or mechanical/production engineering. Other scientific, commodity trading and mining and metals education will be considered.
- Minimum of 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in GHG/carbon emissions and working knowledge of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
- Ability to identify, assess, and communicate external sustainability-related standards and policies and translate them into strategic and technical internal requirements.
- Responsible sourcing experience, supply chain engagement and experience with external audits an advantage.
