An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Contract Manager to join ServiceStream in our Utilities division in Portland, NSW
About the Role

The Contract Manager is responsible for Management of Professional service and Project Specific resources on their designated contract. The principal challenge for this position is to ensure that the contractual obligations are fulfilled, Health and safety of the team are maintained and a high standard of performance is delivered. Working closely with their customer to improve and grow the service offering under the contract

Nature of position: Permanent, Full Time

Location: Portland, NSW

Reporting Line: Regional Manager

Key Responsibilities:
Contract Management Technical
- Proactively manage and oversee day-to-day operations during the project lifecycle, coordinating performance via your project team as necessary, to keep on top of all issues, progress, budget cost controls including variations and production controls ensuring that the Contract is managed in line with project financial targets. This is achieved through:

- Development, implementation, monitoring and adjustment as appropriate for all contract specific management plans. Including but not limited to:

- Contract Management Plan
- Asset Management Plan
- Health & Safety Management Plan
- Environmental Management plan
- Quality management plan
- Develop and maintain contract annual budgets, inclusive of monthly forecasts and overhead budgets
- Perform monthly reporting on key project metrics, HSE, Quality, production, contract related KPIs, resourcing
- Presentation of results to senior management monthly through monthly project review and deep dive project spotlight sessions on a Quarterly basis
- Manage and report on financial opportunities and risks within project portfolio
- Manage monthly reconciliations payment certifications and invoicing in a timely manner and ensure timely collection from customer in line with contractual entitlement
- Manage all elements of project risk across commercial, quality, safety, financial, scope, and maintain an active opportunity and risk register
- Ensure all risks identified are tracked and controlled with necessary actions provided to project personnel
- Report monthly on project risks and opportunities including those realized, mitigated and still open to senior management
- Manage procurement process within associated projects to ensure business practices around supply chain management are met. Focus on margin maximization and value delivery through leverage of supply chain
- Ensure contractors / suppliers are sourced, assessed, employed, managed and supervised in accordance with requirements.
- Manage supply chain to ensure diversity, inclusion and responsible procurement obligations are met including modern slavery requirements.
- Attends meetings with Regional manager, Stakeholders and Client Representatives to discuss any necessary requirements such as progress on contract, problems occurring, strategies and co-ordination etc.
- Ensure all stakeholders are identified, managed and included as required including clear understanding of key stakeholders both internally and externally.

Manage Resources
- Prior to Contract commencement, reassess any project resourcing plan/program submitted at planning/tender stage, ensuring most applicable staff are allocated, any necessary changes are clearly planned and communicated to the relevant stakeholders.
- Work directly with recruitment team, ensuring timely communication on project staffing changes, ensuring maximum self-performance wherever practicable.
- Ensure the selection of all new and existing staff (in conjunction with the recruitment team) is accurate and all-encompassing of project’s needs. Ensure all relevant compliance and staff development training takes place to ensure project’s needs are met
- Working with HR’s guidance/assistance, ensure all new starters’ inductions take place on or prior to day one (when practicable) and that a detailed itinerary is mapped out, regardless of project.
- Strategically position the business to minimize any industrial relations problems by being aware of requirements, following guidelines and communicating with the workforce, HR/IR, management and client representative to solve any potential issues.

Management & Development Responsibilities
- Provide leadership, direction, supervision and inspirational management to all leadership team members (direct & indirect).
- Actively participate in regular learning and development programs to continually enhance and further develop skills and continuously improve capabilities and performance.
- Routinely provide and encourage the teams to provide continuous improvement opportunities to both and the client.
