**Organizational Context**:
The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) is the world’s largest humanitarian organization, with a network of 191 member National Societies. The overall aim of the IFRC is “to inspire, encourage, facilitate, and promote at all times all forms of humanitarian activities by National Societies with a view to preventing and alleviating human suffering and thereby contributing to the maintenance and promotion of human dignity and peace in the world.” The IFRC works to meet the needs and improve the lives of vulnerable people before, during and after disasters, health emergencies and other crises.

The work of the IFRC is guided by the following fundamental principles: humanity, impartiality, neutrality, independence, voluntary service, unity, and universality. At Geneva level, the Health and Care Department’s (HCD) New Strategic Direction 2023 focuses on Health Systems Strengthening and WASH Systems Strengthening through four pillars: Global Health Security, Global Health Protection (UHC), Global WASH Services and Transformative Partnership.

The Global Health Protection (UHC) pillar houses and chairs the Alliance for Malaria Prevention (**AMP**), a global partnership of government, private sector, faith-based and humanitarian organizations, focused on three main activities: (1) coordination of partners involved in insecticide-treated net (ITN) campaign and continuous distribution activities; (2) development of operational guidance for planning and implementing ITN distribution through an iterative process; and (3) providing technical assistance (TA) to national malaria programmes and partners based on requests. AMP’s activities support achievement of the WHO Global Technical Strategy (GTS) targets for high coverage and use of ITNs. AMP is a workstream within the RBM Partnership to End Malaria. Harnessing the global leadership and management systems of IFRC, AMP is uniquely positioned to support and advance country-level efforts to optimize ITN distribution and ensure that the right nets reach the right people at the right time through both campaign and continuous distribution channels.

Through funding from the United Nations Foundation (UNF), AMP hosts the **Net Mapping Project**, which receives ITN shipment information from all net manufacturers that are pre-qualified with WHO on a quarterly basis. ITN deliveries have been collected since 2004 for sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) and since 2009 from countries outside SSA. The data from the Net Mapping project, which are disaggregated by country, ITN type and donor, are an invaluable source of information for tracking progress against targets for vector control and for analyses informing market shaping, as well as for research. The data have been referenced in several publications (e.g. WHO World Malaria Report) and provide an accurate reference to the number of nets shipped to each country.

**Job Purpose**:
The objective of the consultancy is to ensure that tracking of ITNs shipped from all WHO pre-qualified manufacturers takes place and that quarterly reports are issued and disseminated through the AMP website. Mapping of shipment and planned ITN campaigns and routine distributions are planned for 2025/2026 with support of the consultant.

**Job Duties and Responsibilities**:
The specific objectives of the consultancy are to:

- Continue the collection of ITN shipment data from all net manufacturers and organize and distribute the quarterly reports for ITNs shipped and the cumulative total of nets shipped by year.
- Regularly improve and update the Net Mapping Project database.
- Work to collect in-country ITN distribution data from national malaria programmes and populate the country maps with shipped and distribution data as available.
- Engage with Studio 91 to enable continuation of services in hosting, maintaining and providing support to the website developed.
- Work with the IFRC malaria team on the integration of data between the Net Mapping Project and the ITN and continuous distribution (CD) trackers (as applicable).
