Tasks
The Marketing Manager Switzerland is in charge of managing and developing all marketing and communication assets for the MSC cruise business in Switzerland. By supporting the overall growth strategy, the marketing team is creating and implementing multi-channel marketing strategies. The role sits within the DACH-Marketing organization and is actively involved in the global marketing team, based
in Geneva, Switzerland as well. He/She will report to the Swiss country manager, and functionally to the German marketing Director.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Execute Corporate Brand Strategy in Switzerland. Define Marketing objectives & priorities, coordinate and execute Country Marketing Plans to accelerate growth;
- Ensure professional and CD/CI consistent look & feel across the marketing offering;
- Is responsible for the development of a customer acquisition strategy within online marketing as well as for the increase of direct customer business;
- Create scale with Corporate, and Germany, France and Austria;
- Adapt Corporate marketing materials for use in CH vetting the language and cultural elements in light of Swiss needs;
- Media planning and buying;
- Management of translations services and rollout of marketing materials of new products and promotions to our trade partners;
- Steering and governance of B2B marketing including co-marketing planning and control (off
- and online);
- Perform marketing controlling (analytics) in order to ensure impact and value of marketing efforts;
- Budget planning and allocation of resources according to the business priorities;
- Develop a content strategy for owned and paid communications channels;
- Develop and Coach his/her direct report(s) of currently 2 employees;
- Partnerships: new partnerships and possibilities to increase business in the B2C area by reaching new targets;
- Manage and develop client facing product-marketing material, such as product presentations, recurring brochures, flyers and videos.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor degree or above;
- Fluent German, French and English are mandatory. Knowledge of Swiss German is preferred;
- 5 years of experience in B2C marketing roles in matrix-based multi-national companies;
- 5 years of experience in Country marketing roles (Marketing Delivery, Marketing Activation, etc.);
- 3 years of experience in managing direct reports;
- Already based in Switzerland with experience on Swiss country-marketing roles is preferred;
- Proven track record of achieving ambitious goals;
- Ability to work in a multi-cultural, multi-lingual environment. A fast learner and an excellent listener, must quickly understand differences and commonalities among the various markets;
- Ability to execute complex plans with excellent focus on details and quality of delivery. Must be quick in finding operational solutions;
- Must cooperate with Germany, France and Austria for opportunities for scale, and pursue them;
- Ability to deal with ambiguity, managing multiple priorities and stakeholders. Goal oriented yet respectful of strategies, processes, and various stakeholders;
- Excellent communication, organization, time management and analytical/problem solving skills, along with a high degree of flexibility;
- Proactive, enthusiastic, energetic personality
