**The role**:The Manager of Inorganic Strategy will help execute eBay global inorganic strategy, partnering with and advising eBay’s C-level executives and other leaders, to unlock value and drive significant new growth opportunities globally.

Reporting to Director of Inorganic strategy, this leader will partner cross-functionally with Strategy, Analytics, Corporate Development, CVC, Product & Engineering, Markets, Marketing, and other teams, to build business cases and drive end to end inorganic strategy execution, influencing how eBay grows and innovates in the future. In addition, this person will lead and support in ongoing evaluation, and development of inorganic opportunities.

The Manager of Inorganic Strategy will have a demonstrated track record of implementing inorganic growth strategies, leveraging excellent business insight and strategic prowess.

This role provides a unique opportunity to gain a deep understanding of eBay, its ecosystem, and to support development and implementation of inorganic strategy and related transactions ranging from strategic investments and the related commercial deal, to smaller tech and talent tuck-ins, to larger scale M&A.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Identify, evaluate, and develop inorganic opportunities based on insightful competitive analysis, market and competitive research, aligning with eBay’s business goals and strategic priorities
- Carry out evaluation of potential inorganic opportunities (incl. business and strategy assessment, outside-in opportunity assessment and modelling, etc.), assess how inorganic strategy can support business initiatives and drive overall audience, GMV, and brand goals, and make strategic recommendations
- Partner with other teams, e.g., Corporate Development, on pipeline execution (incl. initial rationale/pitch, DD and financial analysis), closing activities and post-close monitoring
- Present findings / insights to senior management
- Contribute to improving the Inorganic Strategy team by enhancing existing processes and recruiting and developing new team members

**Job Requirements**:

- MBA or other advanced degree from a top tier university
- 5+ years experience at a top-tier company in investment banking, management consulting, corporate development, strategic finance, or private equity
- Experience of managing complex inorganic initiatives end-to-end
- Excellent analytic, problem solving, and communication skills coupled with a strong work ethic
- Proven ability to think creatively and strategically while handling complex issues
- Excellent ability to organize, synthesize, and present information
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills, including the ability to create succinct and structured executive-level presentations
- Excellent communication skills and executive presence
- Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization
