The FP&A Director will be responsible for leading the management reporting, long-term strategic planning, financial forecasting, and business analysis processes for Zimmer Biomet across Europe, Middle East, and Africa region. This includes driving continuous process improvement in reporting and forecasting through harmonization, automation, and enhancement of current data infrastructure, processes, and systems.

This is a highly visible role that interacts frequently with corporate and EMEA senior management and has a strong influence in driving the company strategy in the EMEA region. The FP&A Director will use in-depth financial knowledge, business acumen, and advanced analytical skills to identify risks and opportunities, develop financial strategies and provide strategic direction and data-driven decision making support to the EMEA executive leadership, to contribute to the achievement of company financial and business objectives.

The FP&A Director will lead the EMEA FP&A team, including mentoring, talent development, recruiting, and retention.

To be successful in this role you must be a strong people leader, collaborative, curious, analytical, detail-oriented, able to tell the story behind the numbers, proficient in financial modeling, enjoy problem-solving, and feel comfortable juggling multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced and highly demanding environment.

**General Functions**:

- Overall coordination and oversight of the financial reporting short term forecasting and long term planning process for the EMEA region, ensuring compliance with corporate processes and deadlines
- Prepare, analyze and submit consolidated EMEA monthly actual and projected sales reporting, P&L, balance sheet and statement of cash flow.
- Review, analyze and challenge country and functional actual and projected P&Ls, balance sheet and statements of cash flow
- Prepare and present actual results and projections to EMEA and corporate management

**Education / Experience Requirements**:**Education**:

- B.A. /B.S. degree in accounting/finance. MBA is a plus
- C.P.A. or equivalent is preferred

**Professional experience**:

- 10+ years of experience in finance/accounting within an international setting, including experience at the global or regional HQ of an American or European publicly listed corporation
- Experience leading FP&A teams
- Public accounting experience preferred
- Experience in Med Tech is a plus

**Special expertise**
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize tasks and delegate effectively
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency on financial modeling
- Strong accounting knowledge, including understanding of U.S. GAAP
- Strong computer skills, including high proficiency using Excel and PowerPoint to collect, model and present data. Experience with SAP, financial planning software and/or BI tool is a plus
- Proven ability to partner with all organizations and with senior management

**Languages**
- English: fluent
- Any additional European language is an asset
