**What's the role?**:
We are looking for a motivated, creative, and self-driven individual to support us shaping the future of Hilti
Join our interdisciplinary and international Mechatronics development team in the Business Unit Measuring, to develop proof of concepts and prototypes to support innovation for our products portfolio.

Start date is flexible to the student's availability; duration for at least 6 months.

**What does the role involve?**:
The Business Unit Measuring portfolio includes Robotic Total Stations, Laser Distance Meters, Rotating and Line Lasers, and Concrete Scanners.
In this role, you will work closely with our R&D team to develop new mechatronic solutions to bring innovation to our products portfolio.
Depending on your interests, you will focus on system design, sensing technologies integration (IMU, Cameras, Lasers, Photodiodes), electronics design, control, or (embedded) algorithm development.

**What you need is**:

- Master Student in Electronics Engineering, Physics, Robotics, Computer Science, or similar.
- Familiarity with one or more of the following fields: electronics, PCB design, embedded programming, sensing technologies (IMU, camera, photodiodes, laser, lidar, encoders), opto-electronics, sensor-fusion, control theory, computer vision.
- Good programming skills in a high-level language (e.g. Python, Matlab).
- Good communication skills in English.
- Proactive and self-reliant personality, with strong willingness to explore and learn new topics.**Learn more about your Business Unit**:
