Director of Innovation

Our client is one of the leading medical devices companies developing cardiovascular and endovascular products and at the front of the progress and innovation for the industry. As part of their continued growth and drive for new product development, they are now looking for Director of Innovation to join their team in Switzerland.
The main focus of this role is creating project ideas and business opportunities for our client's portfolio and coordinating impact on product pipeline with internal programs. Responsible for driving each new idea from idea to prototyping while bridging clinical need with engineering reality. They will help steer, coach, lead and drive the innovation teams to bring their ideas to fruition.
**Main responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to**:
- Manage, lead, and coach the Innovation team
- Develop and manage a pipeline of research and technology projects leading to prototypes for further development
- Demonstrate key benefits of projects
- Closely watch the needs of customers/physicians in the cath lab
- Connect to KOLs
- Coordinate pre-development activities across multiple sites
- Facilitate transfer between pre-development and product development
- Foster and initiate internal idea finding
**In order to be considered for this opportunity you will have**:
- University degree in medicine, engineering, or science
- Innovations experience in a similar environment, ideally within Cardiology
- Track record in medical device technology/development
- Experience in working with physicians, ideally in cath lab
- Experience of excellent stakeholder management, with the ability to win strong support for your ideas
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Drive and passion for innovation
- English/German language skills
- Willingness to travel and visit cath labs
- Excellent communication skills for internal and external communication
