**Responibilities:
- Project Managing the ramp-up of new Freight Forwarding locations as part of the base network establishment
- Ensuring that business impacts of projects are properly managed and possible risks are pro-actively communicated with the concerned stakeholders - i.e. create risk assessments, business cases, etc.
- Work in accordance with the Security Management System, including the immediate reporting of any suspicious activities to senior management and/or the Security Officer.
- Project manage efforts around System Deployment (e.g. TMS) and related dependencies to other projects
- Coaching business functions & branches on project management competencies/skills
- Ensuring that sponsors of projects are actively engaged and to escalate to the Area/Country Manager concerned, where leadership and direction of projects is sub-optimal
- Manage project budgets, initiate action to identify and resolve problems, and ensure goals are met. Support Project Teams/Resources to identify and resolve issues & risks that impact project completion.

**Skills and Experiences:
- Minimum 7 years’ management experience within Freight Forwarding Industry, preferably with a strong focus on project management and business process optimization
- Solid experience in process engineering, continuous improvement methodologies & performance management
- Advanced knowledge of logistics process and security procedures and protocols pertaining to freight forwarding.
- Aware of new developments in the industry including index based pricing, client carrier contracts, market places / platforms, new risk management tools and a clear understanding of digital transformation
- Strong negotiator and a self-starter with the ability to adapt to stressful environments by using a sociable but firm approach, as well as engendering trust and integrity. Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate, develop and encourage others to positively contribute to business goals and objectives.
