Global Tax Manager

**Main Purpose:**:**The Global Tax Manager will support the Group’s Head of Tax. The key functionality is having a leading role and carrying principal responsibility within the Group’s Tax team and will be involved in a range of interesting responsibilities supporting the wider tax team on strategic projects, providing timely input to the business in an advisory capacity; risk and strategic compliance support**:**Knowledge Skills and Abilities, Key Responsibilities**:
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Set out medium and long term tax strategy, given international, regional and country specific tax developments in conjunction with the evolution of the business
- Developing, monitoring and maintaining tax design behind Puma Energy’s corporate structure taking into consideration the wider tax design of Trafigura
- Analysis and delivery of solutions for global, trans-regional tax developments (such as ATAD and BEPS)
- Subject matter expertise on a number of divisional specific topics such as financing, IP, shipping, country specific tax regimes, etc.
- End-to
- end entire tax management of the entire division (strategy & structuring, accounting & reporting, compliance, controversy & dispute resolution, transfer pricing, control framework)
- Identify and negotiate preferential tax regimes & tax rulings
- Management and monitoring of the divisional tax position including tax accounting, compliance, year-end audit
- Tax accrual process for the region both for corporate income tax and transactional taxes
- Risk assessment and control of all applicable taxes including tax provisioning (UTPs, IFRIC 23, etc.)
- Manage TP strategy, design, documentation & compliance
- Manage tax audits and tax litigation, including negotiations with local tax authorities
- Develop, implement and maintain tax reporting tools
- Develop, implement and maintain tax repository and tax digitalization tools
- Ensure effective use of external advisers - in terms of quality and cost

There are three areas of strategic work that will require planning and advice to various internal stakeholders:

- Corporate restructuring
- Business transformation & carve outs
- Supply chain & trade flows restructuring

**REQUIREMENTS**:
**Experience**:

- University degree in tax law or fiscal economics
- Minimum of 7 to 12 years relevant work experience in an international tax
- Experience in an in-house tax department and/or M&A tax practice is a pre-requisite
- Experience in providing & explaining tax guidance to non-tax professionals
- Good understanding of accounting concepts and processes

- IT skills: Excel, Word, Outlook, PPT
