What impact do you have?
Lead, manage and mentor a team of seven UX designers and two UX Writers, ensuring high-quality UX and UI design.
Driving forward overarching design topics such as design system, accessibility guidelines, visual language etc.
**Owning and growing DesignOps**: Orchestration and optimisation of people, processes, and craft.
Accountable for establishing and ensuring the effectiveness of design specific rituals (such as Design Critique, Design Studio, etc.).
Encourage best-practice and process (wire-framing, collaboration with cross-functional teams, insights driven decision making, developer collaboration, etc.).
Oversee people development of the design team, providing opportunities for professional growth and learning.
Ensure a consistent end to end customer journey for in-store and online grocery shopping across web and mobile platforms.
Ensure transparent communication and alignment of progress and insights between research and design teams, as well as across the broader business, by promoting and amplifying insights and outcomes and their cross-influence.
Collaborate with Product group Heads in Product, Engineering, Data to define and execute product strategy, goal setting, process, and organizational structure.
Fostering an environment for designers to share ideas and feedback within the team and beyond.
Foster a customer-problem focused design culture that promotes experimentation and innovation within the team, with a positive and pragmatic mindset.
What do you offer?
Completed degree (university / university of applied science / higher technical college)
HCI/Computer Science, Psychology, Social Sciences, Human Factors or work experience in a similar field with a strong focus on UCD, UX and digital products
10+ years of experience
in UX design, with at least 3 years of experience leading and managing teams
French (beneficial)
German (fluent)
English (fluent)
Expertise in user experience design, with a strong understanding of Information Architecture, Interaction Design, Visual Design, UX Research, and UX Writing.
Strong leadership skills, with experience leading and managing teams of designers, including coaching and mentoring.
Effective workshop preparation, planning, and facilitation.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Deep understanding of the online grocery market, including business models, market dynamics, financial drivers, and competitive landscape.
Strong familiarity with product focused business, including organisational planning, people and resource management, process definition and optimisation, and data-informed goal setting.
Experience working with cross-functional teams in an agile environment and collaborating with stakeholders at all levels of an organisation.
Track record of driving and contributing to successful user-centered products.
Experience with setting up complex design systems.
Strong background in hands-on design work, focusing on the craft & quality of the design practice within your team.
Excellent spoken and written English, and preferably fluent in either German or French.
