**Mission**

A postdoc position is available in Prof. Zhengmao Lu’s Energy Transport Advances Laboratory (ETA-LAB) at EPFL, Switzerland on the topic of heat pipe technologies. At ETA-LAB (etalab.epfl.ch), we strive to obtain a deeper understanding of liquid-gas interfacial heat and mass transfer and create high-performance, low-carbon-emission energy and water systems and devices.

**What we are looking for**
- PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field with a focus on heat transfer, especially thermal management
- Proven experience with heat pipe technology, experimental techniques, and/or thermal modeling
- Track record of published research in relevant areas
- Strong leadership and collaboration skills to mentor students and contribute to ongoing lab projects
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
- Strong motivation to explore new research domains
- Good team spirit

**Main duties and responsibilities**
- Analysis and publication of results
- Build a strong network in the field of research
- Participate in education, and PhD and master student supervision
