**Mission**
- A Ph.D. position is available in Prof. Zhengmao Lu’s Energy Transport Advances Laboratory (ETA-LAB) at EPFL, Switzerland, focusing on electronics cooling. At ETA-LAB (etalab.epfl.ch), we strive to advance understanding and develop innovative solutions in thermal management, targeting high-performance cooling methods for electronic devices. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to impactful research aimed at enhancing the efficiency and reliability of electronics cooling systems.
**What we are looking for**
- Solid foundation in fluid mechanics and heat transfer.
- High motivation to explore advanced cooling technologies.
- Collaboration skills for working within a dynamic team and contributing to lab projects.
- Proficiency in English with strong written and oral communication skills.
- Experience in cooling technologies, experimental techniques, and/or thermal modeling will be a plus
**Main duties and responsibilities**
- As a PhD Student, you will be expected to:
- Have full responsibility for your own dissertation
- Research in close collaboration with industry partners
- Design and execute you experiments and modeling efforts
- Analyze and interpret experimental and modeling results
- Write scientific articles for publication in peer-reviewed journals
- Present at international conferences.
- Participate in educational activities, including mentoring master’s students and supporting collaborative lab projects.
