Responsible for supporting the frontline (Market Head) in the management and control of risks.

**YOUR CHALLENGE**:

- An exciting opportunity to join the Region Americas Front Risk Management team
- Performs periodic reviews for clients by reviewing KYC information, conducting research via internal and external sources, performing transactional analysis and ensuring clients’ correct Financial Crime risk classification in accordance with the Banks’ Policies and Standards
- Analyses Financial Crime risks associated with clients, identifies ‘red flags’ and escalates any risks and operational issues detected
- Reviews risk category change of accounts in line with regulatory requirements and internal Policies
- Analyses clients (physical persons and entities), account data and documents in accordance with internally defined standards
- Liaises with Front Office to obtain additional KYC information and corroboration, evaluates and provides critical feedback to the Front and Senior Management
- Identifies awareness/training needs and is in charge for developing and conducting Front Office training
- Provides advice on KYC requirements and related ad-hoc requests and queries
- Acts as point of entry and coordinates, mediates between the front and 2LoD. Ensures close and systematic collaboration/information flow between the 1LoD and the 2LoD
- Contributes and represents Region Americas in bank-wide projects/initiatives
- Acts as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for individually assigned risk topics and interacts closely with various internal stakeholders (e.g. Compliance, Legal, IWMS, Internal Controlling etc.)
- Supports/monitors remediation exercises and monitors mitigation measures and projects

**YOUR PROFILE**:

- University degree or equivalent education in Banking, Compliance, Law, Risk Management or Business Administration
- At least 5 years of professional experience in Front Risk Management, Business Support, Compliance, Legal or Audit in the banking industry
- Extensive experience working with Latin American clients and able to demonstrate direct Latin America market knowledge
- Proficient in English, Spanish and/or Portuguese is a prerequisite for this role
- Excellent analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills, as well as a high level of flexibility and adaptability to changes
- Very good knowledge of MS Office, Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Ability to work on own initiative, willing to take on responsibility
- Professional and convincing communication skills with stakeholders in various roles and functions
- Decisive, well organized, proactive and acts with care and assertiveness
