Our diverse portfolio includes several marketed products and a robust pipeline of early **Job Overview**: We are currently seeking a dynamic, highly motivated, and experienced individual for the position of **Sr. Human Resources Business Partner. **This position is responsible for building employee and organizational excellence by managing day-to-day HR operations, driving, and embedding the talent strategy and providing guidance to support the achievement of business objectives. **Essential Duties & Responsibilities** - Provide advice and coaching to our managers and employees on employee relations issues and ensure compliance with policies and legal requirements. - Provide counsel to senior management and the GM on a wide range of strategic and operational Human Resources issues - Support change management and integration - Act as HR partner and coach to line managers, including people development, performance management, and anticipating, managing, and resolving employee relations cases, and ensure compliance with local policies and legal requirements. - Facilitate recruitment strategy, partner with hiring managers in attracting and recruiting great talent to build capabilities at the office. - Work in close collaboration with HRBPs, to successfully execute talent and functional related initiatives at the local level. - Ensure accuracy and integrity of data of HR Systems; database access control and manipulation of system to produce reports as required by HR. - Develop, manage, coordinate various HR initiatives, in particular, those relating to strategic compensation & benefits. - Contribute to the monthly payroll and benefits administration for all employees, including liaising with external payroll and benefits providers. - Support employee engagement activities and assist in employee survey process and action planning co-ordination. - Be involved in global initiatives and projects driven from the US to support alignment and effective implementation at the local office. - Leverages the local offices to build community, collaboration and celebration. - Works closely with HRBPs to ensure seamless execution of SMPA's global people strategy - In partnership build relationships with local vendors, g. benefits, payroll provider, etc. **Education, experience and skills requirements** - University degree in HR or relevant field with minimum of 10+ years of experience as HRBP, prior experience in biotech or pharmaceutical company is a plus. - Demonstrate strong business acumen, a comprehensive understanding of the link between HR and business strategy. - Strong organizational skills to include project management, change management, organization planning capabilities. - Sound knowledge in HR policy related to the administration of entitlements and benefits and employment conditions. - Sound judgment, integrity, respectful and exemplary behavior and service orientation. - Excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills. - Experience within a global and multicultural environment. - Ability to work independently and take initiative. - Experience working across geographies in a matrix organization - Knowledge of Swiss employment law - Ability to translate and prioritize work in a matrixed organization - Excellent relationship building, interpersonal and influence skills with clients and colleagues - Demonstrates strong business acumen and a track record of success in partnering with business leaders - Ability to focus on critical issues, balance competing priorities and balance multiple projects in a dynamic, fast-paced environment - Responds quickly to feedback through iterative design - Ability to work independently and collaboratively to accomplish assignments with mínimal supervision - Excellent project management skills with a demonstrated ability to lead projects from inception through implementation while bringing stakeholders along - Able to analyze operational activity and interpret departmental strategy into tactical work plans - Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS - Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills with good presentation skills and familiar with various cultural styles. - Ability to work in an entrepreneurial environment and function with a "roll up the sleeves" approach - A commitment to collaborative teamwork, and the maintenance of a professional culture based on trust and mutual respect - Self starter and ability to work across time zones and travel internationally - Fluent German and English The role requires flexibility to have regular calls in the late afternoon and evening with U.S. colleagues.
