Our 4,000 m2 facility will be in Klybeck, Basel, right next to the beautiful Rhine River and the train station, also close to City Center. The Klybeck area is home to many top US and Swiss pharmaceutical and Biotech companies in Europe's Biotechnology Hub.

**Job Summary**

We are looking for our first international HR Partner, in this exciting position you will be a key contributor to the success of our growth and operations in the region. The incumbent will be involved in a wide range of HR activities including onboarding, culture initiatives, payroll and benefits administration, employee relations, and employment law. This role will work closely with HR, Finance in the US, and managers and employees in the organization as well as with external partners and services providers.

**Responsibilities**:

- Collaborates with the local team to fully understand the business needs required at the site, support all day-to-day HR people operations, and ensure a positive employee experience.
- Manages the full employee life cycle, including hiring, onboarding, offboarding, contract changes, compensation and benefits administration, absence management, and employee relations.
- Manage, organize, and upload employee information into appropriate HR systems while ensuring data integrity.
- Act as a liaison between US functions (HR, IT and Finance,) and other internal partners to ensure timely and accurate responses to all inquiries.
- Ensure smooth interactions with authorities, external partners or providers related to Compensation & Benefits, social security, and taxes.
- Assist staff with benefits, retirement plans, payroll, systems, or employment contract questions.
- Ensure a smooth onboarding and offboarding experience for employees.
- Assist and guide internal stakeholders through sensitive conversations and transitions.
- Supports HR initiatives/processes including training and development, performance management, diversity, and inclusion etc.
- Act as ambassador for the company's culture, support internal communications and employee engagement activities.

**Job Requirements**
- Bachelor's degree preferred with 5+ years' experience in HR ideally in an international environment
- Experience in biotech or Pharma preferred
- Native German speaker and fluent in English
- Experience with Microsoft Suite programs, i.e., MS Office, Excel, Power Point
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations in Switzerland.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment
- Pragmatic, hands-on attitude, solution-oriented
- Flexible, adaptable, comfortable in dealing with change and competing priorities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, data-driven mentality
- A tenacious yet flexible problem-solver with the ability to manage complex tasks and prioritize competing demands to meet deadlines
- Able to maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality in working with members of a leadership team as well as with all employees and customers
