Based in its EMEA Headquarters in Basel, Bio-Rad is looking for an
**Associate VP, Manufacturing Europe & Latin Am**, (100% - M/F).

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop the manufacturing vision and roadmap in support of company strategy and business goals. Lead roadmap implementation plan
- Drive manufacturing KPI achievements on product quality, cost, availability, EHS & compliance
- Establish annual budget process according to company standards and defined goals
- Achieve financial targets on standard costs, spending, manufacturing variances, scrap and inventory levels
- Ensure synchronization of Manufacturing capacity with Products Life Cycle Management and New Products Introduction business strategy
- Lead automation, digitalization and lean transformation plan (industry 4.0)
- Establish and implement manufacturing capital investment plan in support of business and transformation goals
- Drive continuous improvement in cost & process efficiency, products quality, and plants performance
- Ensure compliance to regulatory requirements (cGMP, ISO, FDA, CE IVD ) as well as with financial and governmental institutions as requested (Sarbanes-Oxley, FCPA, Quality, etc)
- Standardize ways of work across plant and lead their integration into Global Supply Chain and Company’s global processes and organizational framework
- Sponsor and support company strategic and transformation projects, such as “Manufacturing footprint optimization” and “Global Supply Chain process streamlining”
- Develop talent, establish Succession Planning, build an efficient team, manage resources needs and ensure retention of key knowledge
- As legal representative in France, lead social dialogue with Unions and Central Workers Council in France. As per Bio-Rad directions, prepare and execute company restructuring legal process, lead negotiation with Staff Representative and get all required approval with labor authorities

Qualifications:

- 15 years of general manufacturing experience in the Life Science and/or Clinical Diagnostics or related industry
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in a multi-plant domestic and international manufacturing leadership/management position that extends to multiple disciplines or functional areas of the manufacturing process required
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience working with work councils within Europe.
- Solid financial/business acumen with ability to plan globally across multiple regional teams to create consistency and maximize efficiencies.
- Fluent in French and English. German is a plus.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge and ability to utilize industry tools and technologies ( hardware and software) to successfully achieve goals
- Poses strong understanding of and ability to ensure compliance with rules, certifications and regulations, including FDA regulations and compliance, ISO/TS certifications, and environmental certifications
- Ability to effectively communicate and work cross-function with all levels of Corporate, Vertical Market Managers, Engineering, Financial, Sales personnel, external customers and all internal departments.
- Excellent organization and time management skills to handle multiple tasks in an environment with large volumes of data.
