**Global Business Finance Manager Polycarbonate and Compounds (all genders)**

You will be providing financial support to the global Polycarbonate and Compounds strategic business unit (SBU) which manufactures plastics. This SBU generates $0.5 billion of annual sales in 3 manufacturing locations in 3 countries on 3 continents as well as third party external manufacturing. Polycarbonate and Compounds is one of two SBUs that combine into the external reporting segment Plastics Solutions. Customer/Product/Plant mix evaluations are particularly complex in this SBU as it deals with a very large number of products and requires very detailed understanding and evaluations.

As the finance leader for the SBU, you will work closely and act as finance partner to the VP, Polycarbonate and Compounds, to support annual and five year planning process, monthly closing/results analysis and communication, monthly forecast updates and communication, strategic planning, strategic implementation, capital investment analysis/allocation/reporting, M&A strategy/analysis/implementation, customer/product/plant profitability analysis and improvement, R&D pipeline analysis and reporting, fixed cost analysis and competitor analysis; constantly evaluating levers to improve business performance across all of these areas. You will provide guidance and support to the other members of the business leadership and management. You will be a member of respective global leadership and management teams and responsible for the consolidation of regional inputs from North America and Pacific into global overviews.

The position will report to the Global FP&A Lead, Plastics Solutions.

**Your Responsibilities**

- Annual Budget and Five-Year Planning process for all financial statements: You will work with cross-functional groups to arrive at annual plan for full P&L and working capital. This includes commercial team for volume and variable margin components, cost center owners for fixed costs, supply chain for inventory and executive group to manage overall expectation. You will determine strategic initiatives, challenge assumptions and outputs, coordinate schedule and format/content of deliverables, prepare communications for business management teams and Executive Leadership Team (ELT), among others.
- Monthly closing/results analysis and communication: You will evaluate monthly actual results and deviations from forecasts and develop viable actions to meet financial shortfalls to forecasts.
- Monthly forecast updates and communication: You will review forecast submissions with business leaders; challenge assumptions and evaluate options and drive actions for improved performance. You will prepare communications for business management teams and ELT, among others.
- Capital investment, M&A, R&D pipeline, and strategic analysis: Compounding with Polycarbonate as a key feedstock is a focus of investment for the company. You will be responsible for proper evaluation of all capital investments and M&A activities, evaluate strategic fit, ensure analytical consistency, and prepare communications for business management teams and ELT, among others. Furthermore, you will review contracts and provide input for improvement as necessary.
- Controlling of Customer/Product/Plant profitability and fixed cost analysis: You will evaluate profitability at the customer, plant, and product levels and provide data and insights to commercial teams and drive actions for improvement.
- Compliance & Control & SOX: You will maintain a culture of regulatory compliance and adherence to internal policies and procedures and the SOX processes.
- Other business support: Ad hoc analysis for business management teams, ELT, Finance Director, CFO, segment commercial SVP as necessary.

**Our Requirements**
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in business/Finance; Master’s degree highly preferred
- Work Experience: Minimum 8-10 years in FP&A/Manufacturing Controlling
- Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

- Experience in global organizations and matrix teams, with experience in industrial (manufacturing) organizations
- Very solid understanding of accounting; prior manufacturing cost accounting experience strongly recommended
- Business acumen - experience and proven ability to understand business strategy as well as macro-economic trends and how they impact business strategy, results, and forecasts; understanding of market factors and customer interactions and how they impact business results
- Very strong verbal and written communication skills in English - critical due to communications with the ELT and business leadership / management
