For a renowned client in Switzerland, we are looking for a motivated and solution-oriented
Engineering Manager
Our partner is a pioneering network of online marketplaces and a leading European digital company that simplifies people's lives with forward-looking products.
Tasks
- Lead, guide and coach a cross-functional team of engineers (front-end, backend, QA) to grow and improve their effectiveness as a team.
- Participate in product discovery activities to better understand our customers' problems, pain points, needs, and wants.
- Collaborate with product managers, product designers, and other engineers to build products that our customers love.
- Contribute to solution implementation by performing code reviews and participating in pair and mob programming sessions.
- Continually learn and improve your skills by participating in pair/mob programming sessions, workshops, and internal and external training.
- Recruit and retain talent for your team
- Travel 2-3 times per year to the nearshore location
**Requirements**:
- Several years of experience with React or equivalent (VueJS, Angular)
- Strong software development knowledge (functional programming, test automation, architectural design, cleancode, CI/CD)
- You are passionate about software craftsmanship and know that the only way to go fast is to go well.
- You love to learn, develop yourself, and develop and coach others.
- You enjoy working with product managers, designers, and other engineers to build great solutions to customer problems.
- Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal
- Experience leading and coaching cross-functional teams is a plus
- Experience with backend technologies such as.NET or Java is considered a plus
