THE OPPORTUNITY

We're looking for a qualified and motivated business development specialist to join our Software and Kits Business Development team. Your role is to: identify new business opportunities and relationships in your geographical area, take over opportunities, and management of accounts in your geographical area, and move leads and customers through the pipeline towards closing. You will work with researchers, scientists, and laboratory professionals in the field of mass spectrometry proteomics and help them choose the best solution for their research questions. You will report to the VP of Business Development Software and Kits, and will work in close collaboration with the R&D team.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Developing new and existing relationships and customers
- Have a good understanding of the business' products and be able to advise others about them
- Interact with customers to learn and understand their needs and their decision taking
- Acting as single point of contact for the new customers in collaboration with the technical specialists
- Support development of the sales and business strategy
- Visiting clients and presenting the offer
- Negotiation of conditions and offer management
- Research and identify new business opportunities
- Attend seminars, conferences, and events where appropriate
- Help to plan sales campaigns
- Help improve the sales pipeline
- Support Sales Operations tasks when needed
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technological advancements in mass spectrometry proteomics

YOUR PROFILE
- A degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, or a related field is preferred but not essential
- Experience in B2B sales, with at least 2-3 years of experience in the life sciences or proteomics sector
- A solid understanding of proteomics and related technologies. Familiarity with bioinformatics and laboratory workflows is a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information in a clear and compelling manner. Very strong negotiation and closing skills
- Highly motivated and target-oriented, with a passion for achieving and exceeding sales goals
- Proficient in using CRM software and other sales tools to manage your pipeline and track your performance
- Fluent in English in a professional and personal context
