Position: Junior Project Manager
Key Responsibilities:
- Main point of contact for the client and the expansion of the relationship with the customer
- Full knowledge of event guidelines and SLA’s and compliance regulations of the customer
- Complete project management (travel and meeting): project control and supervision, including professional consultation on all required group air, event and meeting.
- Coordination of various suppliers (e.g. airlines, hotels, partners, and other meetings suppliers etc.)
- Full responsibilities of travel & meeting budgets and financial transactions as well as support for other team members.
- Knowledge of the company’s as well as customers' events guidelines and compliance requirements.
- Managing delivery of plans to stakeholders agreed time, quality and cost parameters including.
- Negotiating supplier contracts and terms for the meetings & events.
- Seek opportunities to develop and maximize new business and to identify any opportunities for further business.
- Lead of operational processes and tasks as well as oversight of all service level agreements.
Key Qualifications:
Experiences
- Experience to work in an national and international travel & meeting environment as well as to work with international processes in different languages.
- Deep knowledge of the meeting industry (venues, suppliers, etc.) in Switzerland as well as the airline industry.
- Consultative management and approach to questions, concerns and issues.
Skills & Knowledge- Very good knowledge of the national and international hotel
- and meeting industry, good knowledge on the event
- and meeting technology- Acting pro-active and independently.- Ability to build a strong and stable customer relationship on project management level- Very good organizing skills and time management.- Further education as professional event manager, apprenticeship in travel agency or hotel industry combined with a minimum of 3 years experience on the job in the meeting industry.- Strong ability to work team oriented.- Strong knowledge of travel & meeting related logistics incl. air & train, vendor negotiations, communication, and event techniques and methods.
- A strong understanding of travel & meeting related business figures and budget management (profitability of individual projects).
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and assignments simultaneously in a fast-paced work environment.
- Experience with MS Office, in particular Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook. Deeper knowledge of event tools just as CVENT is a plus.
- Ability to build strengthen customer relationship on a daily basis.
- Ability to uphold the team spirit and motivation every day.
