Would you like to combine your passion for ESG with analytical and modelling skills?

The ESG Analytics Intern is a great opportunity to be part of the evolution of the ESG investment rating methodology of Julius Baer. Gain first experience of working for a bank while at the same time contribute to bring the Julius Baer ESG model to the next level. We expect you to have an analytical and solution-oriented mindset and you will be working closely with different teams involved with ESG and Sustainability.

**YOUR CHALLENGE**:

- Stress-testing, back-testing, and conducting sensitivity analysis of existing ESG model
- Propose and test different calibrations of existing parameters
- Analyse impact of possible adjustments or enhancements to the ESG model
- Test and evaluate quality and usability of new ESG data providers / data sources
- Validate and possibly simplify/enhance the phyton code that makes up the current ESG model
- Propose and work out Key Risk Indicators (KRI) for measurement of stability of the model
- Create visualisations of KRIs for monitoring purposes
- Contribute to the development of multidimensional model to cover derivatives and structured products
- Contribute to the development of model to handle look-through data for funds
- Testing NLP models on news flow to detect ESG relevant information signal

**YOUR PROFILE**:

- Personality as self-starter and self-motivated to drive and continuously learn
- Strong analytical skills and a curiosity for problem solving
- Like to take ownership of topics and drive tasks independently
- Strong personal interest in ESG and Sustainability
- Good understanding of phyton programming language
- Other programming languages a benefit
- Strongly team-oriented personality
- Well organized and capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
