The purpose of the Biodata & Translation (BD&T) unit is to accelerate research and development by the operationalization of Data and Translational Science. This is achieved by best-in-class Digital, Analytical and High-Throughput Automation capabilities complemented by IP and toxicology. These are then translated into novel product, process and solution concepts. BD&T is supporting all DSM’s global Nutrition R&D programs in Biosciences & Process Innovation, Food & Beverages, Human Nutrition & Care, Animal Nutrition and Health.

**What You’ll Do**

**Your key responsibilities**
- Drive operational excellence while managing a dedicated team in Kaiseraugst within the Analytic Biodata & Translation Unit (BD&T), being the key connector for Analytic and Digital and the person being accountable to optimise workflows on site, and taking care of the development and implementation of asset management and maintenance strategies. Support the infrastructure of the new R&D lab facility
- Act as R&D representative on Global Cybersecurity Team and ensure implementation of Cybersecurity standards & guidelines
- Manage & maintain a structured procedure for SHE Biosafety on R&D site Kaiseraugst and ensure the identification, assessment, mitigation & prevention of SHE Biosafety risks for R&D site Kaiseraugst
- Champion and contribute to the development of a SHE mindset within KAU BD&T analytic and HNH R&D community, develop SHE policies, processes, and procedures
- Establish and actively manage a functional connection to the R&D Operations team in Delft, sharing experiences and best practices, and engaging mutual support on SHE, Operational Excellence, Biosafety, R&D Supply chain and R&D-ICT.

**Your experience**
- Degree in a technical discipline (e.g. BSc,/MSC Biochemistry, Chemisry, Analytical science)
- At least 5 years’ experience in an industrial environment, preferably including microbiology
- Experience working with R&D facility and/or laboratory environment, preferably including experience with R&D-ICT and/or Operational Excellence in a laboratory environment
- Experience in BioSafety and related legislation
- Preferably experience in people management
- Fluent in German and English
