We are looking for you If you are fascinated by the rapidly changing cyber security and threat landscape, then you have found the right place to gain first-hand experience of the many diverse layers of defense needed protect Business. Within our Security Strategy & Advisory team we are looking to continue our tradition of mentoring the next generation of information security professionals. Our team is part of the SIX Cyber Defense organization where we help set the strategic direction of information security, lead security initiatives and projects as SMEs as well proactively identify and minimise security risks within the IT organisation.
As part of our 12-month Internship program, you will be mentored by a group of seasoned security professionals and exposed to a variety of technical information security topics with plenty of opportunities to gain experience and contribute to the security of SIX under the team’s guidance.
Desired Internship start date: November or December 2024.
**What You Will Do**:
- help us drive the improvements of different technical information security topics such as system & protocol hardening or development of new security protections
- participate and provide support in information security projects
- focus on hands-on technical improvements
- acquire data and perform analysis to identify and drive improvements from a variety of data sources such as SIEM, CMDB and other internal tools
- explore AI capabilities to improve security
**What You Bring**:
- ability to interact with a variety of stakeholders from technical to non-technical in English (German and/or Spanish skills are considered a plus)
- openness to work autonomously, taking responsibility but proactively consulting within the team as and when needed
- willingness to learn to new topics and undertake a diverse range of tasks as well as ability to translate and present complex topics in an 'easy-to-consume' manner
- a strong technology interest and analytical mindset
- hands-on experience with in different areas of information security is a plus
