2025 Off-cycle Internship - Tech - Firewall Security Engineer - ZHYour role Interested in working in finance, specifically in contributing to Firewall Rules Management, but not sure where to start? Do you want to work for a firm with a truly global footprint? We're looking for ambitious students to join our 2025 Off-cycle Internship Program within our Group Technology. You'll get to: • support firewall rule lifecycle development and automation of tools for auditpliance and reporting • automate and maintain tools related to firewall housekeeping processes • develop, maintain and automate tools and scripts that support the following functions: o Functional scripts and website to ensure smooth running of processes o Performing quality checks and reporting to management and project teams o Assist firewall and network housekeeping projects o Rule owner assignments & investigations Your team You'll be working in the Firewall & Zone Security Authority team in Zurich. We ensure that all firewall rules are audit and riskpliant thus securing our cyber defenses to the benefit of all segments in UBS. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong, team player with high level of understanding of automation and development in security related issues and to join a world class team within the Technical Information Security Office. Your expertise We're looking for a candidate who: • haspleted at least 4 semesters of a bachelor's degree and graduated no longer than six months ago (bachelor's or master's degree), preferably in a MINT topic • has analytical skills and a data driven mindset • has know-how some exposure to IT Security / Information Security. • has some experience in Python, Django and webservers • has values that align with ours: hard-working, trustworthy, dedicated and collaborative • is a strategic thinker with strongmunication skills • is motivated to work in a business with high demands and tight deadlines We're looking for someone who's curious and wants to thrive in a business that never stops moving.
