As Area Sales Manager (M/F/d) you are responsible for the growth of DSV's global Third-Party Logistics business in a specific territory, in line with the company's objectives (i.e, revenue and profit targets, product growth initiatives, etc.).
You will be the main point of contact for new and existing customers in the western switzerland. You will also generate qualified leads and then convert them into prospects and customers through the sales process. As a highly motivated individual with in-depth knowledge of import/export and land transportation, you will be able to develop sustainable proposals and foster strong relationships.

**Your main tasks**:

- You acquire new customers according to industry-specific strategic guidelines
- You support our existing customers in the assigned customer portfolio regarding SL/RO
- You lead and control the sales activities within the strategic guidelines for the designated customer portfolio according to the given sales targets
- You will be responsible for ensuring customer retention, i.e. developing and maintaining business with existing customers
- You will take a proactive role in updating the CRM by maintaining it with customer information, visit reports and business opportunities
- You will lead the development and active management of a sales pipeline consisting of phases 1 to 5 of the sales cycle
- You support the Country Tender Management with tenders for assigned customers
- You ensure the successful integration and transaction of the customer into the operation
- In addition, you will support the sales coordinator in terms of maintaining and servicing customer tariffs as directed
- You initiate and control all global sales policies, processes and guidelines

**Your Skills and Competencies**:

- You have relevant work experience in the freight forwarding environment
- (at least 5 years), sales experience (at least 2 years)
- A business administration or commercial background is an advantage
- You have functional know-how in land transportation, customs clearance and logistics
- You are comfortable with cross-functional interface management (operations and ISP)
- You are a true organizational talent
- You work independently and always have the expected sales targets in mind
- You also bring problem solving and decision-making skills to the table
- You have strong negotiation skills
- You are a talented communicator with strong presentation skills
- We would like you to understand DSV's strategy and product range
- A sound knowledge of the local market (customers and competitors) is also helpful
- Fluency in written and spoken French and English is a prerequisite for this job, German is an advantage
