Job Role

We are recruiting a Operations & Processes Project Manager who will be responsible for the maintenance of all Standard Operating Procedures for the flagship Frontiers in Science journal.

**Responsibilities**:

- Have overarching responsibilities for the coordination, maintenance, revision, and delivery of Frontiers in Science Standards Operating procedures (within Frontiers in Science Journal Operations, Strategic Programming, and Engagement, Events & Communications).
- Be the dedicated point of contact and coordinator for the Frontiers in Science Article Hubs go-live - including pre-go-live preparatory steps and coordination, actual go-live responsibility, and post-go-live tracking and monitoring, as well as the coordination of post-live SEO improvements, with a view to ensuring excellent quality and services in Frontiers in Science product delivery, also proposing improvements where needed.
- Work closely with the Managing Editor and Senior Peer Review specialist on all post-acceptance manuscript production steps and workflows.
- Lead the development and updating of Frontiers in Science SharePoint pages, both public and internal content.
- Coordinate and ensure efficient and timely delivery of the various CRM projects related to the Frontiers VIP Flywheel where Frontiers in Science is involved.
- Assist the Executive Editor in coordinating the company Objectives and Key Results Framework related to Frontiers in Science and its related strategic initiatives.
- Assist the Executive Editor in organizing bi-annual whole team workshops and progress reports for the leadership.
- Lend support as needed to the Executive Editor to help build a strong team culture, identity, and cohesiveness within the Frontiers in Science team via dedicated initiatives to be identified.

About you
- At least 3 years’ experience in production-related processes and an understanding of product management in order to coordinate processes between teams.
- Demonstrable experience in creating, managing, and improving processes and workflows.
- Project management qualifications or skills acquired with experience.
- Interest and experience in coordinating CRM (Salesforce) related projects.
- Good understanding of publishing processes in scientific journals.
- Experience and aptitude working within a complex matrix team organization.
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage competing priorities, problem-solve, and make clear decisions in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels of seniority, and to interact diplomatically with high-level authors and strategic partners.
- Meticulous, resilient, and a team player.
- A growth-minded professional with a desire to evolve within an expanding team and a high-priority project.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Science education and/or interest a plus.
